Warrington East Group of churches, are made up of the Church of the Ascension – Woolston, Church of the Transfiguration – Birchwood, Christ Church – Padgate, and the Church of the Resurrection.

Alpha Course

Warrington East team of Churches ran an Alpha course from January to March 2014.

It was a great opportunity to become closer to God whilst exploring our faith and hearing the faith of others. The course was set around a meal, DVD’s and conversation.

As the Alpha Course draws to a close. We meet up again to reflect on the course and enjoy a coffee and a cake.

 

Meeting: July 21st, 7pm, Church of the Resurrection, to discuss future courses. All are welcome. Come for a chat, to meet up with people from the last course, or to find out more.

Sunday – 9.30am, Parish Eucharist
Last Sunday of the Month – 9.30am, Family Service – Together @ the Eucharist
Tuesday – 7.00pm, Holy Communion
Thursday – 10.30am, Holy Communion

Christ Church

Sunday Services 8.30am & 11am
Second Sunday of each month – 6.30 pm, a sung Evensong.
Third Sunday evening of each month we worship with our friends at Padgate Methodist Church.
Wednesday – 10:45, Holy Communion

Church of the Ascension

Sunday Services:
1st Sunday of the month: 11.15am All Age Holy Communion
2nd and 3rd Sundays: 11.15am Parish Holy Communion
Fourth Sunday: 11.15am All Age Worship (non-Eucharist), and 6.30pm Said Holy Communion
3rd Sunday: 2pm Holy Baptism

Wednesday Service:
10:00am Said Holy Communion
10.40-12 noon: Open Church; (tea, coffee and a chance a chat or for some quiet time in the Lady Chapel)

 

Churches Together

Churches TogetherWe are also part of Churches Together in Warrington East. This is an ecumenical partnership formed twenty five years ago in an attempt to forge closer links between the Anglican, Roman Catholic, United Reformed and Methodist communities in the neighbouring parishes of Padgate and Woolston.

The Clergy and representatives of their congregations meet regularly and many joint ventures are undertaken.
